Dr Martens – 1460 Crazy Horse DMs Green

The original DM’s icon, reworked in richly textured Crazy Horse leather. This 1460 edition is built in a deep Cherry Red, a heavyweight hide with a subtle two-tone pull-up that develops character with every step. Finished with antique gold hardware and tonal laces for a heritage feel. Grounded on our original bouncing sole and secured with our signature yellow welt stitch. A classic silhouette, made to get better with age.

Heavy-duty and oil-finished. Crazy Horse is a characterful, heavyweight leather with true colour-depth.

A buffed full grain cowhide treated with oil and wax layers that cause natural variations in colour when scratched or rubbed. Big on character, it has a distressed, worn-in look straight out of the box.

Developed in Prime Tanning, a US tannery in the mid-80s, and inspired by traditional saddlery leathers, Crazy Horse is finished with oil and waxes for a distinctive pull-up effect and depth of colour. Over time, natural oils tend to rise to the surface of the leather, developing a misty look called a ‘bloom’.

Sometimes called saddle leather, Crazy Horse tends to show off every scuff or scrape. But it also responds particularly well to Wonder Balsam if you want to wax the marks away.
